The Movement Festival, featuring over 115 electronic music artists, is scheduled to occur at Detroit's Hart Plaza during Memorial Day Weekend. Concurrently, efforts are advancing to establish the Museum of Detroit Electronic Music (MODEM), an institution dedicated to preserving Detroit's historical role as techno music's birthplace and its hip-hop cultural contributions.
