Former Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan has a new job

Mike Duggan, Detroit's second-longest serving mayor who recently ended his independent gubernatorial campaign, has joined Honigman, a major Detroit-based law firm, as a partner focusing on government relations and public policy. During his 12-year mayoral tenure that began with a write-in victory in 2013, Duggan became known for his problem-solving abilities and leadership on economic development issues. The former mayor will provide strategic advisory services on matters including dispute resolution, infrastructure projects, and crisis management at the firm, which has over 400 attorneys and has previously worked on significant Detroit cases including the city's bankruptcy proceedings.
