Multiple Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have recently faced a wave of bomb threats, with Morgan State University and Towson University being the latest targets on Tuesday. Despite all threats being confirmed as hoaxes by law enforcement, each incident is treated as credible until thoroughly investigated. According to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), more than 75 HBCUs have experienced similar threats since 2022, disrupting classes across 18 states and DC, with HBCUs being targeted at higher rates than other higher education institutions.
