Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan has received endorsements from over 200 current and former elected officials from across Michigan for his independent gubernatorial campaign. This diverse coalition, which Duggan's campaign claims is the largest for any gubernatorial candidate in the race, includes Republicans, Democrats, and Independents from communities throughout the state. Duggan, who left the Democratic Party last year, states he's running as an independent to end "toxic partisanship" in Lansing and fix Michigan's education system.
