A raccoon in Hanover County, Virginia gained notoriety after being discovered unconscious in a liquor store bathroom following a drinking spree two days after Thanksgiving. Animal control officials now suspect this "trashed panda" is responsible for multiple break-ins at a local shopping center, including incidents at a karate studio and Department of Motor Vehicles office where it consumed snacks. After sobering up from its liquor store adventure, the raccoon was released approximately one mile from the shopping complex, though officials predict it will likely return.
